After School Care
The After School Care Program is based on both the philosophy and the mission of Cathedral Academy. It stresses the Gospel values within a safe environment that allows for living, loving and learning.
The program’s purpose is to provide a caring environment for those children needing supervision after school. The program offers opportunities for students to complete homework assignments and play with other children. The program is run and supervised by employees of Cathedral Academy.
Snack is sold each day to students who are part of the after school care program. Children may bring their own snack from home if they prefer.
All children are expected to follow the guidelines established in the Cathedral Academy Handbook. The following violations may be grounds for dismissal from the program:
- Acting in a disrespectful way towards other students for faculty members.
- Failing to listen to and follow directions.
- Frequent late pick-ups.
- Frequent late payments.
Parents who wish to have their child enrolled in the after school care program must complete an emergency information sheet. This sheet must be returned to school and will be kept of file.
The after school care program runs from 2:00-5:30 on days that school is in session. On days when there is a 12:00 dismissal, the program runs from 12:00 – 5:30. When school is dismissed early for inclement weather the after school program will be canceled. For the safety of all those involved, students should be picked up as soon as possible.
